  1. I was just telling my friend, I’m here at an office building with 10 floors of parking. Probably a good 2000 vehicles. They advertise “EV charging”…. yeah but they have 2 chargers…stupid.

  2. I work for an electric company and they don’t have any chargers. Not that they need them though, lol. No one owns an EV. They don’t even provide us with any incentives to buy one, like free charging or a rebate/stipend. Even though they have all these campaigns talking about EVs and how they want everyone to buy EVs.

Wish there was an EV I can afford besides the bolt.

  3. We have a Tesla destination charger and a Clipper Creek 40 am at my work. It is free but it is shared with customers and employees. I am the only employee right now that I know of with an EV.

  4. When I first brought my EV to work 6 years ago, there were 2 charge point chargers in the garage and they were free. Then the installed 5 chargers on the top floor – 4 regular and one super fast. They were free but the super charger kept failing so they stopped trying the fix it. Before the pandemic, they had a valet who took your keys and moved cars as they finished charging. You would also get a notice on the charge point app. During the pandemic it was great since the chargers were always available and you didn’t have to deal with the valet.

In the last year the chargers are almost always taken by 9 am. I went in early to make sure I could charge before 3 pm (CA). There are mostly Teslas in the building and they charge all day. I spoke with the parking attendant to see if they were going to implement the valet system again and he said maybe but now they are going to start charging to charge. I bet that will change behavior.

  5. Free is a bad idea, drives the wrong behaviours, especially in freetards. Reasonably priced is a far better idea then people charge if they need it, not because they want free stuff. That said, I love free stuff too, especially free charging, especially at work, not sustainable though

  6. My office only has 4…. And all 4 are generally permacamped by tesla drivers who won’t move for anyone else but scream bloody murder if anyone wont move for them by 10am. We keep hoping the building will live up to its promise to add 12 more charging spots…
