Read it Too  Got my Tesla Model 3 in December 2019. Dual motor, long range 300+ miles. Love, love, love this car. Drove a 2023 Chevy Bolt yesterday with 277 mile range. Considering this more affordable EV for my daughter. What do you think?

  1. This video is from the Epoch Times:

    > The Epoch Times is a far-right[1] international multi-language newspaper and media company affiliated with the Falun Gong new religious movement.[29] The newspaper, based in New York City, is part of the Epoch Media Group, which also operates New Tang Dynasty (NTD) Television.[30] The Epoch Times has websites in 35 countries but is blocked in mainland China.[31]

    > The Epoch Times opposes the Chinese Communist Party,[32][33][28] promotes far-right politicians in Europe,[8][10][28] and has championed former President Donald Trump in the U.S.;[34][35] a 2019 report by NBC News showed it to be the second-largest funder of pro-Trump Facebook advertising after the Trump campaign.[30][36][28] The Epoch Media Group’s news sites and YouTube channels have spread conspiracy theories such as QAnon and anti-vaccine misinformation,[39] and false claims of fraud in the 2020 United States presidential election.[42] In 2020, The New York Times called it a “global-scale misinformation machine”.[34] The Epoch Times frequently promotes other Falun Gong-affiliated groups, such as the performing arts company Shen Yun.[23][43][34]

  2. First, Youtube shorts are obnoxious. You can’t even skip around in them.

More importantly, there is nothing in that video that says we should slow down the rate of EV adoption.

    * It’s a literal perfect example of a strawman where one side exaggerates the stance of the other side.
    * No one is proposing going all electric by 2035, which is the question being asked in that video.
    * Exporting emissions is a good think, not a bad thing. They also don’t mention the fact that the exported emissions are MUCH less than with a gas car.
    * EVs take energy and emissions to produce, just like gas cars. The video equates this to oil, but that isn’t where most of the energy is coming from. It’s coming from grids that are 50%+ non-fossil fuels.
    * Of course there isn’t enough mining to produce all the EVs we want, we have to open more mines. That is not bad, it’s investment, jobs, industry.

Anyone see anything in that video they think says we should slow down?
