  1. As someone waiting for a MY Long Range, this made me want to pull up the website and switch to a performance. I quickly stopped myself, because I absolutely hate the 21” wheels and limited tire options.

  2. idk about the performance but I don’t like the grip of [the tires the LR came with](https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ProContact+RX&partnum=545WR9PCRXXLCSV2&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Tesla&autoYear=2022&autoModel=Model%20Y&autoModClar=255%2F45-19), looking to replace them asap. Not sure it would make a difference in this race though as the surface is likely more grippe than the stuff I slide around on.

  3. I own both the MYP and Ioniq 5. I think people forget about the torque number of eGMP cars (446 lb-ft). The launch is definitely hard from a stop. MYP launches smoother, but after a second or so you really start noticing the difference. The MYP holds its power throughout while the Ioniq 5 drops off. I feel like the MYP always has power to give at any speed.

Seeing the latest drag race from Hagerty where the GV60 can handedly match the MYP makes me really want a performance EV6 GT/ Ioniq 5N / Ioniq 6N (just not a fan of the GV60 look). Will probably trade in my MYP.

  4. I drag raced a couple Tesla Model Ys in my Kia EV6 Wind AWD at Dominion Raceway this past weekend. The drag race with the Tesla Model Y Long Range was fairly close, but I was faster from 0-50 mph or so, which ultimately gave me the win. Against the Tesla Model Y Performance, the drag race was closer than I thought it would be honestly. We were very close until around 40 mph, but after that the Tesla Model Y Performance pulled away. I’m fairly pleased with how my EV6 did though 😎
