  1. *Slashgear can’t read:*

**“Grewe also promises that the Ultium pack ‘will last longer than the Bolt EV’s’, which he says is making it to between 150,000 and 250,000 miles in the real world”**

Grewe’s statement was that Bolt was getting 150-250K in the real world and that *Ultium will last longer*.

The game of telephone strikes again

  2. this “article” is not even an article, just a quick take, and it appears the author didn’t really do any thinking before writing it. honestly, this type of thing shouldn’t be on here. It furthers the myth floating around out there that EV batteries are “unreliable” and could “randomly fail and require replacement” when the reality is that just isn’t the case. Stating that a battery will last “150-250k miles” is totally meaningless without a dataset about the cycling conditions, remaining capacity at various temperatures, etc. All they are doing is quoting the battery warranty, basically. When we all know lithium batteries can last far longer than that if properly cared for. Even if NOT properly cared for.

i hate to do this, but im hitting the “report” button for misinformation. this headline should NOT be in anyone’s feed.
