    I doubt there will be extensive testing. If the half baked FSD taught me anything it’s that Tesla likes to fly by the seat of their pants and let customers do the testing. In other words, the meat of the testing is post production in the hands of customers.

  2. Everyone seemed to think once they started producing 4680 batteries in quantity either the price would fall, profit would increase, or range would increase (maybe all three). In reality it would take a long time for the new form factor, chemistry, and manufacturing processes to even be at parity with the older technology. The only thing that would cause prices to fall is demand to decrease or supply to increase. Neither of which is fueled by this new battery.
