  1. Good on McDonalds. I haven’t used, but have seen them at a location near me too. IIRC McDonalds was one of the first places to roll out phone NFC payments (years before Apply Pay), they are good at recognizing new technology and implementing procedures (maintenance, etc). A handful of L2 chargers at every McD with a parking lot could be psychologically huge for addressing range anxiety.

  2. This might be one place I think credit card is a good idea, better yet, plug&charge hands McDonald’s your information.

In any event, drive up, plug in, speak your order, get it delivered would be nice.

  3. Give me 150kw at McDonald’s all day. 15 minutes is the perfect amount of time to use the facilities, order two things off the value menu, and scarf it down. And you’ll have 30-45kwh added. Seems perfect.

  4. Holy shit they used my idea of three years ago. I wrote a letter to corporate saying if people expected to find chargers at their restaurants, they would go out of their way to look for McD’s while on road trips.
