  1. That’s not redneck engineering, first because it’s in Russia, second because it’s obviously college student engineering, and third because it uses electricity. If it was redneck engineering it would be a salvage truck engine rebuilt and strapped on the back of the bike or a lawnmower engine.

  2. It is battery-less I presume?

    He will get no more than 1 kW from the panels, so he gets 20 miles per kWh, I guess because it’s so light.

    Range is season dependent: 100 miles in the summer, 20 or so in the winter going by daylight hours?

    Any better guess work appreciated…
