When we had the Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler in earlier this year for review, we immediately wanted to take the roof off. It showed up with the 3-piece Freedom Top, and even though it was cold we thought, “why have a removable roof and keep the roof on?” So, we set about removing the roof.
Since we never had a Wrangler in the review garage before, we weren’t quite sure what we were doing in removing the roof. As it turns out, we couldn’t find the required Torx bit in the vehicle to remove the top properly, so we had to head to Lowe’s.
If the Wrangler would’ve came to us with these installed, we wouldn’t have had a problem!
The idea is simple, replace the Torx screws with T-Screws that have watertight washers. That’s it. No rocket science, no painful installs, just pop the old bolts out, and put the new ones in.
They seem like a no-brainer to us, and when we stumbled across them online we knew we had to share them with our Jeep-loving audience (you know who you are!).
