But luckily for us, we have a halfway decent one just minutes from our home. We take all of our review cars there for a spin to sort out handling characteristics of each of our vehicles. Here’s a video documenting the route thanks to the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette’s Performance Data Recorder.

The Performance Data Recorder (PDR) in the Corvette records 720p video from a forward-facing camera mounted behind the rearview mirror. Depending on settings, the driver can overlay certain performance information on the video as a heads-up display. The video recorder also records valets behaving badly.

For this video, we opted for the Sport overlay. Unfortunately, we did not have audio with this recording, so we found some amazing (re: annoying) dubstep to play in the background. You’re welcome. This particular drive route also shows off the capabilities of the camera, and how it adapts to changing light conditions.

We internally call (thanks to Jerry of Drives With Girls) the test route Spa-Kirchnerchamps to be funny, which is why you’ll see it on one of the titles. No, it’s not a racetrack, but it is a nice bit of road.

Be sure to stay tuned as we post our complete review of the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible.
