  1. If they’re only gonna put chargers where its cheap, easy, and profitable then they don’t need to be getting our tax dollars. Why the fuck should we be paying them to do what they were already gonna do in the first place?

    Like, we’re paying you a hefty sum to plop em down where they need to be, thats the deal, take it or leave it. No good electricity in a low traffic bumfuck nowhereville highway stretch? You better plop some solar down and/or level 2 charge up some big battery banks ahead of time so it can DC fast charge the occasional car that comes by once every few hours

  2. One exception I’d like to see is the flexibility to locate the 4 chargers at different nearby locations. This would let networks and host locations still compete in remote areas.

    In my state (Iowa) there are a bunch of 2×150 stations around. The state’s plan is to upgrade many of these sites to 4×150. My problem with that is it locks in the vendor and host site. Why not let other networks compete for the other two chargers at that exit?
