Our ride this week, plus our ride to the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit is the 2016 Kia Optima LX Turbo. This mid-range Optima is a close sibling to the Hyundai Sonata, but there are a few key differences. We look forward to fighting the snow and the Detroit traffic in it (as much as you can look forward to such things).

The Optima has a 1.6L turbocharged engine, like the one in our recently-tested Hyundai Tucson, and also shares the same 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. We have some decent options, including Android Auto support built into Kia’s UVO navigation and infotainment system.

The EPA fuel economy on this car is 28 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway, or 32 mpg combined, and we’ll be sure to put that to the test for you.

With the $2,600 LX Technology Package and destination, this review car’s MSRP is $27,415. Be sure to check back later for our full review, and if you have any questions about this car, please ask in the comments below!
